I knew I wanted to travel when I left my job, but my “experience” at that point was limited to all-inclusives and weekend getaways. As I planned my trips, I wanted options that were adventurous, authentic, and modern. I was seeking a diverse community of curious spirits … but I couldn't find it.

I quickly discovered an opportunity to redefine LGBTQ+ travel beyond the typical party or cruise scene. I wanted to create genuine and meaningful experiences that truly resonate with travelers while championing queer and women-owned enterprises. Although I will never turn down a pool party or boat trip, I understand the critical need for options, resources, and community among queer women. Today, more than ever.

I get how lucky I’ve been. Not everyone gets to hit pause on life and go full gay Eat, Pray, Love. That privilege came with responsibility. I knew I had to do something with the gift I had been afforded. I feel compelled to inspire other LGBTQ+ women to be confident about exploring the world, whether across the globe or a few miles out of their comfort zone.

Aspiring Bohemian is for those seeking the real thing; the gritty, the gorgeous, the unconventional. It’s rooted in intersectionality because travel isn’t just about the places we go but the layers we uncover: culture, privilege, identity, and the magic of connection. Aspiring Bohemians explore with both openness and intention.
